    Commercials on YouTube!

We have to put up with commercials everywhere and now if it's going to be on YouTube- I will not watch it again and take it off my bookmarks!!!!

    Another bad idea!

Brilliant! Just what we need - MORE advertising. If this comes to fruition you can kiss YouTube popularity goodbye.

    It Depends!

The point of watching YouTube videos is to enjoy "short" clips - 2 or so minutes. Advertising is ok but taking 1/4 of the time for ads is not business savvy - it's greedy and absolutely not smart! Since when does irritating your audience attract good customers? It's the antithesis of CRM!

    The End of Youtube

Well, while its going to make Google money.. they're going to just lose money in the end because something will take its place.. Nobody wants to sit through 30 sec. of commercials to see a 30 sec video.. it's just not feasable..

    Hey Mr. 'Ads are ok'

There would be no business without us 'lame users'.
You 'businessmen' are trying to squeeze $ out of our good times.
    That - is lame.

Ads are slowly killing the internet.
When this happens in 2008 I want everyone to switch to another video site.

    I like 30 second ads

Maybe even make them 60 second ads. Because I don't have anything better to do, why not add 30 seconds to the front of the videos I choose.

    Like Metacafe

I was just watching a video when an ad popped up at the bottom, like they do on Metacafe. This is why nobody uses Metacafe. Oh well, Revver is looking good - they just have small, unobtrusive ads after the video, yet are apparently making loads of money because they pay the people who submit videos.

YouTube will die if they do that. I could understand maybe a 3-second still, but a 30-sec video? Ridiculous.

    Web optimizing

As everyone knows by now, video is very exciting. I think in the next few years people will discover that video is appropriate for certain areas of the consumer market, right now it seems like everyone wants to use video for everything. I think the small business arena will benefit the most from video.
