Who would use Google Aps seriously anyway?!

I can't see that anyone would really use Google's apps for more than just to see what it is about.
They might have millions of people who used it to see how it compares, but I would assume that the vast majority would go straigt back to MS Word, Star office or whatever desktop based word processor they use.

    You should ask around...

I know of several universities and small business (100-200 employees) who use it as part of their every day operations. It was cost cutting measure and familiar transition since many already used gmail.

I agree that it might not be enough for power users, but it doesn't have to be one or the other any more. I, as a power user, will often use Google Docs for many of my documents (so I can collaborate or access from anywhere) and use Word for the 10% of documents that really leverage its features. Then you can import/export at will.

    Google Aps serious?

I agreed with the 1st comment until I read the second one. There seems to then be a market for Google Docs and Spreadsheets and if it is used by university students then it usually takes a few years and it will filter in to businesses...
