Spannerworks acquired by iCrossing in a £40 million deal The Brighton-based search marketing company Spannerworks has been acquired by iCrossing a US based digital marketing agency; this acquisition places a value of £40 million on Spannerworks. iCrossing, based in Arizona, counts Coca-Cola and Lego among its clients, while Spannerworks boasts British blue chips such as BT and HBOS. "We are becoming a global interactive marketing company and Spannerworks is very much in the vanguard," Ghosh said. "When you're working with large brands, how they leverage their digital assets is a really big question for them now. A lot of brand recognition often starts online." The company's vision is shared by iCrossing's chief executive, Jeffrey Herzog, who said: "We believe that the digital channel is at the centre of the future of advertising."
